These aren’t just lofty ideals but actionable values that should shape the way Christians engage with one another and everyone they meet. Through intentional convening and discipleship\, we are nurturing a “beloved community” where Christ’s love can overcome even the most entrenched divides. \nThis year’s event will feature a special keynote address by Rev. Michelle Sanchez\, author of Color-Courageous Discipleship and Beloved Community. Rev. Sanchez is currently serving as a coach for our curriculum development\, and we are excited to glean from her perspective. This will be followed by a conversation with Rev. Kelly and Rev. Devlin and testimonies of impact by our team. \nThis gathering will take place in Nubian Square. DESCRIPTION:The Freedom Concert is a Fundraiser to End Trafficking and Support survivors. It will be held Saturday\, April 1st at Christ the King Church in Cambridge. The Freedom Concert is a night of music\, food\, and storytelling dedicated to helping raise awareness and advocacy for women in the sex industry and survivors of trafficking. The Freedom Concert has proven to be a safe space for other survivors and supporters to attend and embrace healing. Additionally\, it is an invitation to the community of Greater Boston to participate in this fight to end trafficking. All funds raised from this event will go directly to Route One Ministry\, a local anti-trafficking effort.

DESCRIPTION:Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church will present Psaltikon’s A Byzantine Christmas in the newly-renovated church 7:30pm Saturday\, December 17\, 2022. Admission is free to the public; a freewill offering will benefit Philoxenia House\, a ministry of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston that hosts individuals coming to Boston for medical care. \nMr. and Mrs. Nick and Helen Boulas have made the performance possible through their generous sponsorship. The Dormition Parish Council and St. Catherine’s Philoptochos Society are co-sponsors. The parish council will sponsor a wine and cheese reception for all attendees following the performance. \nWith its origins as a collaboration with Cambridge’s Greek Institute\, A Byzantine Christmas has grown into a staple of the Boston-area holiday concert scene. Now in its twelfth year\, internationally-recognized performer and scholar Dr. Spyridon Antonopoulos leads Psaltikon\, joined by acclaimed musicians from New England and Greece\, in a performance of Byzantine chant from the Christmas season\, the joyous kalanda (carols) from various regions of Greece\, and Christmas readings by Modern Greek authors. \nThis free event is unticketed.
