SUMMARY:Rooted in Justice: Youth Ministry Cohort Intensive
DESCRIPTION:Date: May 4\, 2026Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PMLocation: Second Church in Dorchester | 44 Moultrie St. Dorchester\, MA 02124 \nAbout the Event \nUniteBoston is partnering with Arrabon for Rooted in Justice\, a one-day workshop intensive designed for those who walk closely with teenagers ages 13–17. This training is for youth pastors\, ministry leaders\, mentors\, parents\, and caregivers who are navigating the complexities of forming faith in a world shaped by trauma\, division\, and deep questions about justice\, belonging\, and hope. \nThis immersive day invites participants into a space of formation\, not just information. Through trauma-informed learning\, shared practices\, and honest dialogue with others across diverse contexts\, you’ll grow in active listening\, empathy\, courage\, and a vision for justice-shaped discipleship that meets young people where they truly are. \nParticipants will receive access to the Cultivating Kinship curriculum\, a six-week spiritual formation resource equipping Christ-followers to engage hard conversations with compassionate curiosity\, embodied faith\, and hope. This intensive also serves as an entry point into the larger Rooted in Justice cohort journey\, including opportunities for continued formation and a potential immersion experience in Montgomery\, Alabama. \nCome ready to be equipped\, challenged\, and rooted more deeply in walking with the next generation to follow Jesus. \nWe’re able to offer this event for FREE – please REGISTER HERE and help to spread the word!

SUMMARY:Cherish: From Individualism to Intimacy
DESCRIPTION:Over time\, many marriages drift into something more like a shared life than a shared heart – two people managing schedules\, responsibilities\, and routines\, but slowly becoming more independent than connected. The spark fades\, conversations get practical\, and intimacy – both emotional and physical – can feel distant or out of reach. \nYou’re invited to a morning with bestselling author and marriage teacher Gary Thomas as he invites couples into a different vision of marriage – one marked by deeper connection\, renewed intimacy\, and a shared pursuit of God. Drawing from his books Cherish\, Sacred Marriage\, and Sacred Pathways\, Gary will offer practical\, faith-rooted insights to help you move from simply coexisting to truly knowing and delighting in one another.

SUMMARY:FaithWorks Conference 2026: An Urgency for Holiness: From Repentance to Deliverance
DESCRIPTION:Join us for FaithWorks Conference 2026! The theme this year is An Urgency for Holiness: From Repentance to Deliverance. \n\n\n\n\nWe are thrilled to invite you to an extraordinary opportunity to attend the annual FaithWorks Conference! Faithworks is dedicated to inspiring and equipping Christian professionals to glorify God and excel in their industries. \nThus also faith by itself\, if it does not have works\, is dead. \nJames 2:17 \nThis premier event encourages Christian professionals in the Greater Boston Area and beyond to deepen their faith in Christ within their respective industries. Our focus spans various sectors: Entrepreneurship\, Marketing\, Finance\, Technology\, Arts and Entertainment\, Healthcare\, Life Sciences\, Education\, and Business. \nThese sectors drive our economy\, but as Christians\, we know the ultimate glory belongs to God. \nNow faith is the substance of things hoped for\, the evidence of things not seen. \nHebrews 11:1 \nFaithWorks aims to deliver impactful programming that strengthens connections within the Christian professional community in Greater Boston and beyond. Our attendees will benefit from unique opportunities to network and engage with an untapped network of Christian professionals and entrepreneurs. Our next conference is on Saturday\, April 25\, 2026\, which will be a catalyst for a network of powerful industry experts.

SUMMARY:Showing Up Well: A Training for Volunteers on Genuine Engagement
DESCRIPTION:Every volunteer engagement that involves another person is a relationship. And like any relationship\, what we bring into it shapes what’s possible. \nOften volunteers’ biggest challenges aren’t logistical\, they’re invisible. The unspoken expectations we attach to our help\, the moments when our instinct to fix things gets ahead of what someone is asking for\, how our own cultural lens can shape — and sometimes distort — how we show up. \nUniteBoston is partnering with Sarah Blumenshine\, Director of Intercultural Ministries at the Emmanuel Gospel Center\, to offer a zoom training where we can all take an honest\, non-judgmental look at the mindsets that can quietly undermine the very relationships we’re hoping to build. We’re especially encouraging congregations and volunteers who have been part of our spring “Love Thy Neighbor” initiatives to join this opportunity! \nExpect honest conversation\, relatable scenarios\, and practical tools to help you engage with love and care. \nSign up here to receive the zoom link and help us spread the word!

SUMMARY:Solidarity is Sacred: Good Friday Public Worship & Action for Immigration Justice
DESCRIPTION:This Good Friday\, April 3rd at 4PM\, in downtown Boston\, Christians and people of faith will gather in prayer and protest in solidarity with our immigrant neighbors.   \nImmigration enforcement tactics have long threatened the safety of our neighbors. But in this moment of authoritarian breakthrough\, state violence is intensifying\, causing fear and outrage in our communities.  \nDuring Holy Week\, Christians remember Jesus’ death as a confrontation with – and triumph over – the powers of evil. Jesus’s crucifixion was God’s ultimate act of solidarity with persecuted people — an act that calls us into radical solidarity with the crucified people of today. Through story\, ritual and song\, we will lament the violence against our immigrant neighbors\, demand the abolition of ICE\, and hear again God’s call to loose the bonds of injustice and set every captive free (Isaiah 58:6).  \nThis initiative is hosted by various organizations devoted to reclaiming the story of Good Friday to stand with our immigrant friends and neighbors. Join us to practice the Stations of the Cross as we seek to be a powerful public witness for Jesus Christ. Read more about the story and theological heartbeat of this initiative here. \nTogether we will pray five of the fourteen stations of the cross: Jesus is condemned to die\, Jesus meets his mother\, Jesus falls for the third time\, Simone of Cyrene helps Jesus carry his cross and Jesus dies on the cross. \nWhile this action is based in the Christian tradition and practice of the stations of the cross\, people of all faiths and no faiths are welcome and encouraged to attend. \nAt a time when the public perception of Christianity is often defined by politics or nationalism\, join us for this opportunity to stand in the public square as a visible witness to Jesus’ heart for the vulnerable and oppressed. \nRSVP here: https://bit.ly/goodfriday2026  \nCommunications toolkit is here \n\nCo-Sponsors: \nMassachusetts Communities Action Network (MCAN)\, MA TPS Committee\, Pax Christi Massachusetts\, Southern New England Conference of the United Church of Christ (SNEUCC)\, Catholics in Communion\, UniteBoston\, First Church Somerville\, UCC\, Episcopal City Mission and Center for Public Theology & Migration. \n\n\n\n\nArt: Our art team is busy prepping for our upcoming art builds where we’ll make hand signs and large vertical and horizontal banners to communicate our messaging. Please join us by RSVP-ing here and spread the word: \n\n\nArt Build\, Sunday\, March 29th from 6-9PM at First Church Somerville\, 89 College Avenue\, Somerville. \n\n\nArt Build\, Monday\, March 30th from 6-9PM at First Church Somerville\, 89 College Avenue\, Somerville.

SUMMARY:He Increase\, I Decrease (Art Gallery)
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an unforgettable Black History Month gallery honoring the legacy\, cultural impact\, and enduring presence of Black churches in Cambridge. Hosted by Abundant Life Church\, this evening celebrates the Black church as a cornerstone of spiritual life\, community building\, and artistic expression. Past\, present\, and future. \nInspired by John 3:30 — “He must increase\, and I must decrease” This gallery explores worship as an act of surrender\, a movement that transcends choreography and enters the sacred dialogue between body and spirit. In the Black church\, praise is not only sung but embodied: loud and intimate\, erratic yet fluid\, vulnerable yet unrestrained. \nThrough photography and performance\, He Increase\, I Decrease captures the fleeting\, ineffable expressions of faith where the body becomes both vessel and instrument\, yielding wholly to the presence of God.

SUMMARY:Churches Praying Together
DESCRIPTION:Join us for Churches Praying Together – an important prayer gathering on Saturday\, February 21\, at 7:00pm at the Symphony Church Office. \n\n\n\n\nThe meeting is organized by a group of pastors who pray together regularly via Zoom and every couple of months in person – and  is led by Barry Kang\, Pastor of Symphony Church. \n\n\n\n\nThe goal of the meeting is to unite God’s people in prayer for a spiritual awakening in Greater Boston.  We all agree on the need for an awakening.  Almost all spiritual awakenings in the past have started in earnest prayer by God’s people.  Thus this is your chance to participate in such a gathering\, and to invite those you know who have such a burden to join in too. \n\n\n\nThere is a small attached lot with limited parking in the evening (Back Bay Mental Health). The best place to find street parking is on Babcock Street (metered parking on the Boston side is free after 8pm\, and the Brookline side has free 2 hour parking). There is also paid parking under New Balance field in the Langsam Garage – $14. \n\n\n\nWe believe these gatherings honor our Lord Jesus as we unite in Him as He prayed in John 17. Hope you can join us!
