Have you ever been curious about what that means and how to live out your calling.  How does your calling and purpose ties into the Great Commission\, God’s global purpose?  Perspectives is a course that will grow your Biblical vision which is needed for action\, give purpose in order to live a life of passion and hope of being part of God’s timeless purpose and global promise. \n     Perspectives is a 15 week awe-inspiring\, comprehensive course rooted in the Scriptures. We gather for weekly English-language worship services and once-monthly German-language services\, reflecting both our local community and our historic roots. \nOur mission is to worship\, nourish\, and send. Our mission is to proclaim God’s grace through Word and Sacrament\, nurture faith across all ages\, and serve our neighbors with love\, curiosity\, and joy. Faith Lutheran Church is committed to continue developing and growing a vibrant Children’s Ministry that helps kids experience God’s love\, deepen their faith\, and feel a strong sense of belonging within the broader church community. \nPosition Overview: The Children’s Minister is responsible for developing\, directing\, and growing Faith Lutheran Church’s ministry to children ages 3–12. This role is responsible for managing the Children’s Churches during worship services\, the Children’s Ministry volunteer team\, and the Special Family Programing. \nThe goal of the Children’s Minister is to create developmentally appropriate\, theologically sound Christian education experiences that engage children\, support families\, and integrate children fully into the life of the congregation. \nEssential Duties and Responsibilities: \n\nCreate curriculum for and lead ~30-minute Children’s Church sessions for children ages 3–12 during weekly English services and monthly German-language services.\nRecruit\, onboard\, train\, and schedule volunteers to ensure Children’s Ministry programs are adequately staffed in accordance with church safety policies.\nDevelop and lead a special event for children and their families every 2–3 months (e.g.\, nativity play\, movie night\, picnic\, etc.).\nCollaborate with the pastor and church leadership to ensure Children’s Ministry aligns with the mission and theology of Faith Lutheran Church.\n\nQualifications and Skills: \n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nA confessing Christian\nAbility to pass a Massachusetts CORI background check\nAt least one year of experience working with children ages 3-12\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in religious studies\, biblical studies\, early childhood education\, elementary education\, or a related field\nExperience working with children ages 3-12 in a church or Christian educational setting\nKnowledge of and/or experience with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA)\n\n\n\nSubmit resume to children@faithcambridge.org if interested!
