SUMMARY:The Gathering Circle for Mothers of Children with Special Needs
DESCRIPTION:The Gathering Circle for mothers of children with special needs has been meeting for several years now. This Circle offers support to mothers from greater Boston and beyond and serves as a respite or welcoming space in the often chaotic world of parenthood. \nLisa describes our Circle this way\, “Bringing up a child with special needs can be very challenging\, though rewarding. The Circle is a refuge from my busy world\, my busy life. To sit and with peers whose experiences are similar is comforting.” \nThe Mother’s Circle meets once a month on Monday mornings\, from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm\, and offers participants an opportunity to share their experiences\, to listen compassionately to one another\, and to offer suggestions of mutual support. Each session is held in The Penthouse at the Motherhouse of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston\, 637 Cambridge St.\, Brighton\, MA. \nTo register\, please call Mary Rita Weschler at The Women’s Table: \n617.746.2056\, or email: womens.table@csjboston.org.
