Nurturing Relational Connections Across Boston's Christian Community
This event commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Woman’s Foreign Missionary Society (WFMS) of the Methodist Episcopal Church, and the chartering of Boston University in 1869. Many women founded the Methodist women’s missionary society that sent unmarried women to start the first schools and hospitals for women in India and China. This special archival exhibit features a presentation by Prof. Dana Robert, a Liturgical Celebration by Prof. Karen Westerfield-Tucker, and an original hymn by Prof. Carl Daw Jr. This event is open to the public and a reception will follow in Room 325.
