SUMMARY:Interfaith Youth Initiative (IFYI): Applications Due Soon!
DESCRIPTION:  \nCooperative Metropolitan Ministries (CMM)\, Boston’s oldest interfaith social justice organization\, has its flagship program\, the Interfaith Youth Initiative (IFYI)\, happening this August 2nd through 6th at Brandeis University. They are still accepting applications! \nIFYI is a 5-day\, overnight program that brings together high school and college-age youth from a variety of ethnic\, cultural\, religious\, economic\, social and political backgrounds for leadership\, peacebuilding and conflict transformation training. \nEveryone is welcome! Whether you are religious\, spiritual or none\, come see why interfaith leadership is so needed in this day and age. \nOutside-facilitators complement their graduate staff mentors to teach different forms of leadership. \nSite visits to diverse houses of worship and community centers enhance the experience of building a beloved community. \nGenders will be dorming on separate floors\, with any dietary needs for allergies or religious reasons being met in the dining halls. \nThe cost is $400\, but it accepts payment on a sliding scale with a $100 deposit.
